MHT CET will be conducted in two parts Paper 1 (Mathematics) the time duration for the same is 1.30 hours and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) the time duration for the same is 1.30 hours. It will be conducted in an offline mode i.e. in pen and paper based format. Application forms for MHT CET 2018 will be available online on the official website of DTE from the second week of February 2018 to the last week of April 2018. Once candidates have done the prescribed procedures followed by the payment, candidates will be able to download their MHT CET Admit Cards from the fourth week of April 2018. What New in MHT CET 2018?
- 20% Weightage in the MHT CET 2018 examination will be given to the 11th Std. syllabus and the remaining 80% weightage will be allotted to 12th Std. syllabus.
- The difficulty level of MHT CET 2018 is expected to rise and will almost be at par with the JEE Main for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and NEET for Biology.
- It is expected that the questions will not be asked from the complex chapters of Std. 11.
The approximate break up of questions from Std. 11th and 12th will be 10 and 40.

MHT CET Eligibility Criterion 2018
It is imperative for all the candidates willing to appear for the MHT CET 2018 to adhere to the eligibility criterion before they apply for the MHT CET 2018. The eligibility criterion will vary from candidates belonging to different categories, home state and from outside states. The eligibility criterion will include conditions related to age, marks to be scored in the qualifying examinations, number of attempts etc.
Candidates belonging to the General Category must secure a 50%+ aggregate marks in Std. 12th or equivalent examination from a recognised board/university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates must score a 45%+ in Std.12.
- Indian Nationals who have passed HSC/12th class examination or equivalent examination are eligible for appearing for MHT CET 2018.
- There is no age limit for appearing for the MHT CET 2018. There is no restriction about for passing the qualifying examination in a particular year.
- The candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in 2018 are considered eligible for appearing for MHT CET 2018.
MHT CET Counselling and Seat Allotment
The counselling and seat allotment for the MHT CET 2018 will commence tentatively in the first week of June 2018 and will be conducted in three rounds. MHT CET 2018 Counselling will be conducted through centralized counselling process (CAP). The admission committee might hold an additional CAP round to fill the vacant seats if needed. The counselling and seat allotment for MHT CET 2018 will be done according to the merit list of MHT CET, with candidates having more marks getting preference over the ones having lower marks.
MHT CET 2018 counselling includes the following steps
- Step 1: Filling of the Online Application form to participate in the MHT CET Counselling 2018, this is through Centralised Admission Process.
- Step 2: Visiting Facilitation (FC) in person for Document Verification.
- Step 3: Display of Provisional merit list of eligible candidates.
- Step 4: Reporting at the allotted institutes to confirm the allotted seats after the final CAP round.
During the counselling process, candidates have to participate in choice filling and locking. There will be options like freeze, slide and float which will allow a candidate to be flexible with their options. After the final CAP round, candidates who have been allotted seats have to report at the institution finally allotted to them to confirm their admission.
MHT CET 2018 Answer Key
The DTE Maharashtra might release the answer keys for MHT CET 2018 after the examination gets over. The answer key of MHT CET 2018 will include correct answers to the question asked in the MHT CET 2018. Candidates who appeared for the MHT CET 2018 can compare their answers with the official answer keys to predict their expected score for the examination. The DTE will also release the scanned OMR sheets of the candidates in the last week of May 2018. The candidates will also be given time to raise their complaint/ feedbacks (if any) or even challenge the MHT CET 2018 answer key in case of any discrepancy.
MHT CET 2018 Result
The DTE Maharashtra will announce the MHT CET 2018 result tentatively in the first week of June 2017. Candidates have to check their result online. The MHT CET 2018 result will not be sent via post. MHT CET 2018 result will also provide the candidates with their score cards/ ranks. The candidates must download their MHT CET 2018 result and take a print out of the same for future use.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Cards
The admit card of MHT CET 2018 will be released by the DTE Maharashtra tentatively from the last week of April 2018 in an online mode. It must be noted that the MHT CET 2018 admit cards will be available only for those candidates who have successfully submitted their online application form for the test and have paid the prescribed application fee. In order to download the MHT CET 2018 Admit card online, candidates have to enter their application number and password. Candidates must note that the MHT CET 2018 admit card is a very important document and no candidate will be allowed to enter the test centre without the admit card. Candidates must check their admit cards thoroughly, and make sure that the information on the admit card is correct.

MHT CET Application Form 2018
The application form for MHT CET 2018 will be released tentatively in the second week of February 2018 in an online mode. Before filling the online application form candidates must check if they meet the MHT CET 2018 eligibility criterion. Candidates must also keep a digital or scanned copy of their photograph and signature (which is uploaded in the online application form) in the prescribed format before they start to fill the online application form. In case due to any reason, a candidate has filled incorrect information or wants to change any entry, then he/she can edit the information provided, DTE Maharashtra gives a few days to update or edit the details entered in the online MHT CET Application form 2018 after its submission. However, this facility will be provided only once, thus the candidates must remain careful while making changes in their application particulars.

- After successful registration, you can start filling your application form.
- Now, upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

- Submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page of the submitted application.

The DTE Maharashtra will conduct the MHT CET 2018 at various centres in 36 cities and towns of Maharashtra. The number of test centres of MHT CET 2018 may go up or down as per the exam conducting authority’s decision. - MHT CET 2018 will be held in an offline mode i.e. in pen and paper mode, where candidates must appear for two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- Each paper will be of 1.30 hours.
- Each paper will be of 100 marks.
- Each correct answer in Paper 1 will award 2 marks and each correct answer in Paper 2 will award 1 mark. Please note that there is no negative marking for both the papers.
- Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) will be conducted in English/Hindi/Marathi Language, Paper-1 will be conducted in English Language only.

MHT CET 2018 Cut offs
The cut off of MHT CET 2018 includes the opening and closing ranks of a particular branch at a college between which admission into B.Tech/B.E. programmes is offered to the candidates. Thus, candidates having less rank will not be eligible for admission.
