The Government of Haryana collaborated with Avanti Learning Centres and the American India Foundation Trust to impart best quality Science and Mathematics education in Grade IX Science and Mathematics by integrating with the ICT (information and communication technology) platform. The aim is to convert 59 English medium government schools into model centers of excellence by bringing about pedagogical and systemic change, using existing government personnel and resources.

Program Management
The Mentor Trainers, experts from DIET in Science and Mathematics, selected and nominated were oriented in April 2017 to provide on-ground support to teachers. They began their school visits from July to interact with Principals and teachers to initiate the program. The mentors visit their assigned schools twice a month to identify and resolve the on-ground challenges.

Mentors conducted in-school pedagogical sessions and training to ensure a smooth transition to peer learning pedagogy.
Assessment
Baseline, Midline and Endline Assessments will be conducted throughout the academic year to measure learning improvements.
More than 5000 students of Class IX in Model Schools were tested on Class VII-VIII syllabus of Science and Mathematics.
One day orientation was conducted for over 130 Block level Resource Persons in Panchkula Headquarters on the process of assessments.
