BITSAT

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test ( BITSAT ) 2018 Application Form has been released on the 19th of December 2017. It is a university level examination, which is organised by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. BITSAT is an online examination which is conducted to provide admission to all the degree courses offered by BITS and its other campuses. BITSAT 2018 Important Dates

BITSAT Application form 2018

  • You can apply for the BITSAT 2018 exam through online mode.
  • The application form for the same was released on 19th December 2017.
  • You can click on the link (http://bitsadmission.com/) to apply for BITSAT 2018.
  • You must fill the registration details like Name, Gender, DOB, E-mail etc. and submit it.
  • After registration you must fill your basic details, 12th std. marks, test centre preference etc.
  • Also, you can make the fee payment in an online or an offline mode.
  • After submitting your application form you must take a print out of the same for future reference.

Application Fee

  • The prescribed fee for BITSAT 2018 is ₹2950 (₹ 2450 for female candidates)
  • If you wish to choose Dubai as a test centre, the application fee for both male and female candidates will be USD 70 (or ₹4500)
  • The fee payment can be done through credit or debit card, net banking or cash payment at ICICI Bank.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification Eligibility for other courses (except B.Pharma): Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • Qualification Eligibility for B.Pharma: Candidates must have cleared the 12th or equivalent exam from any recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates who have passed 12th exam in 2017 or appearing for the same in 2018 are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2018.
  • Percentage Criteria: In the Std. 12th exam, the candidate must have obtained at least 75% marks in PCM/PCB group. The candidate must have at least 60% individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects.

BITSAT Paper Pattern

  • Exam mode: The exam will be conducted in an online mode.
  • Duration: The duration of the exam will be three hours.
  • Types of Questions: The BITSAT 2018 exam is a MCQ based exam.
  • Marking Scheme: Three marks will be allotted for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Number of questions: 150 questions will be asked in the examination.

BITSAT Syllabus

BITSAT syllabus is based on the NCERT syllabus for class 11th and 12th. The syllabus will comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. The details of the syllabus are given below:

Mathematics:

The fundamental theorem of algebra, Complex numbers,  Arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, Theory of Quadratic equations, Logarithms and their properties, Permutations and combinations, Binomial theorem, Exponential series, Pascal’s triangle, etc.

Physics:

Units & Measurement, Impulse and Momentum, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Kinematics, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Work and Energy, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, etc.

Chemistry:

States of Matter, Thermodynamics, Atomic Structure, Equilibria, Physical and Chemical Electro chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Hydrogen and s-block elements, Chemical Kinetics, etc.

Biology:

Diversity in Living World, Cell – The Unit of Life; Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Structure and Function, Structure and Function – Plants, Structure and Function – Animals, Growth and Movement in Plants, etc.

Logical Reasoning:

Binary Logic, Non-verbal Reasoning, Puzzle Test, Syllogism, Analogy, Verbal Reasoning, Alphabet Test, Classification Test, Eligibility Test, etc.

English Proficiency:

Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Analogies, Syllogisms, Verbal Reasoning, Vocabulary, Antonyms, Conclusion, Synonyms, Composition, Comprehension, Word Formation, etc.

BITSAT 2018 Admit Card

Here are some important details regarding the BITSAT 2018 Admit card:

  • The admit card will be released online.
  • You can book your slots from 23rd March to 5th April 2018.
  • Admit cards will be available for download from 12th April to 10th May 2018.
  • Only those who have successfully registered will be able to download their admit cards through the website.
  • Without the admit cards candidates will not be able to sit for the examination.
  • The admit card will contain details like Candidate’s name and other details, exam date and venue, exam timing, Candidate’s photograph and signature etc.

BITSAT Result 2018

Here are some important details regarding the BITSAT 2018 Results:

  • The result will be declared through online mode.
  • Candidates can check their results through the official online portal of BITSAT.
  • After the declaration of the result, two merit lists shall be released.
  • One merit list will be for the B.Pharma course and the second one for other courses.

BITSAT Cut-off 2018

Cut off will the minimum marks considered for availing admission in various courses offered by BITS. The cut-offs would be declared after the result. It will be published for admission to the Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses.
