CBSE Syllabus for Class 10 – The CBSE syllabus for class 10 has been declared for the new academic session. The revised CBSE Syllabus issued by a new circular is applicable for all the public schools affiliated to the CBSE including the Delhi administration schools, KVS and NVS. Here is the revised detailed CBSE Syllabus for Class 10 . A simplified syllabus is added in a descriptive format as PDFs for your reference.  

Notable changes and highlights for the new syllabus:

1) Subjects including Mathematics, Science, English,Social Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, Home Science, Music, Painting and others are refreshed as per the new guidelines.

2) Sample papers and other study materials are upgraded now as per the current syllabus.

CBSE Mathematics Class 10th Syllabus

Syllabus for the term 1 comprises of five units namely Number Systems, Algebra, Trigonometry and Statistics. The syllabus for term 2 comprises of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability, Coordinate Geometry and Mensuration. Out of 100 marks 90 marks are allotted for the theory and 10 marks are allotted for the practical examination.

CBSE Science Class 10th Syllabus

The course structure for the both the terms is as follows: Term 1 syllabus consists of chapters like Chemical Substance Nature and Behaviour, World of Living, Effect of current and Natural Resources. Term 2 syllabus contains chapters like Chemical Substance Nature and Behaviour, World of Living and Natural Resources.

It will include 4 parts of equal weightage – India and the contemporary world- II, Contemporary India- II, Democratic Politics- II, and Understanding Economic Development.

Here the syllabus contains 4 sections namely, Reading Skills, Writing Skills, Grammar, Literature textbooks and extended reading test, Assessment of listening and speaking. The theory covers 90 marks and practical covers 10 marks.
