NTSE Result – Stage 1
National Talent Search (NTS) Scheme was started by the NCERT in 1963. The premier aim of NTSE is to identify and nurture talent. The exam is conducted in two stages, Stage 1(State Level) and Stage 2 (National Level). The first stage is conducted by various states and UTs and the second stage is conducted by the NCERT. This year NCERT will conduct the NTSE, in coordination with states for the class 10th students. The date of NTSE stage 1 is November 2 & 3, 2019 and stage 2 would be conducted on 10th May 2020.
NTSE Stage 1 Result
NTSE Stage 1 will be conducted in the month of November 2019. Each state and UT would declare the result separately for the NTSE 2019 on their official websites. It should be noted that, only if you qualify Stage 1, you would be eligible for Stage 2 conducted by the NCERT. You can check the results online once declared.

NTSE Stage 2 Result
Every year, about 4000 candidates qualify stage 1, to appear for the stage 2 examination. The second stage is the final round of selection. The candidates qualifying stage 2 are awarded the NTSE scholarship. The result of the same is declared in an online mode and no postal communication will be made for the same.
The Final NTSE Result 2019 will mention scores and names shortlisted candidates who qualify the Stage 2 examination. The scholarships will be awarded to the students selected on the basis of final merit list once stage 2 result of NTSE 2019-20 is announced.
NTSE Stage 2 for overseas students
It should be noted that Indian citizens studying abroad can participate in the NTSE Stage 2 directly by sending their mark sheet for Std. 9th along with the NTSE application form for stage 1. The application fees will be decided as per their individual State/UT. There will be no fees charged at stage 2 of the NTSE.
Procedure to check the NTSE Result 2019-20
Please follow the following steps to check your NTSE 2017-18 Result:
- To check your result, you will have to click on the direct link given on the web page, after the announcement of the result.
- Further, you would be taken to a tab called NTSE 2019 Result.
- Enter your Name/ Roll number and Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY).
- The NTSE Result 2019 would be displayed on the screen.
- Take a printout of the mark sheet and save it for future reference.
- In case you find any inconsistency in the result you are advised to get in touch with NCERT through e-mail before the prescribed date and time.
Cut-off Percentage
Cut off percentage for General and SC/ST/PH would be 40% and 32% respectively.
