NEET 2017 Cut off – NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is a national level examination which is responsible for the admission into MBBS and BDS courses. After qualifying this examination, you will be eligible to seek admission in various medical and dental colleges across the country. Tentatively NEET 2018 is going to be conducted in the 1st week of May 2018, though an official notification is yet to be out. The CBSE released the NEET 2017 Cut off along with the NEET 2017 result on June 23rd 2017. The NEET cut off is the minimum possible marks one must secure to be eligible for the counselling rounds. The cut-offs are decided by the CBSE. In 2017, a total of 6,11,739 were shortlisted for counselling, based on the NEET 2017 cut off. The cut off depends on various factors like: the number students appearing, difficulty level of the paper, number of seats available in the Medical and BDS colleges etc. In order to clear the NEET 2017 cut off , a general category student had to secure a minimum 50 percentile, a SC/ST category student had to secure a minimum score of 40 percentile. Further, among the qualified students, top 15% scorers were directly eligible to participate in NEET 2017 counselling in 15% All India Quota (AIQ). In the year 2016, 171329 candidates qualified the NEET from the General category. NEET 2016 cut off marks for the General category were from 145 to 685. Candidates who appeared for the NEET 2017 had to secure NEET 2017 Cut off score as per their category to qualify for the examination. Based on the cut-off score, different states, deemed and private medical colleges prepared their merit list for admissions to MBBS and BDS seats in their colleges. The domicile which is opted by the candidates will also be considered for admission to the state medical colleges.
