The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore conducted the KVPY 2016 examination on the 3 November 2019. The candidates, who are shortlisted after the aptitude test, are called for a personal interview, which is the stage two of the selection process. This year the result would be declared in the first week of December and the final result would be subsequently declared in March 2020. The details of the results are mentioned below:
How to check the KVPY 2019 result ?
You can check the KVPY result by logging in using your KVPY Login ID and Password. The result will be separately available for SA stream and SB/SX candidates as the paper also would be held in two sessions. The results would be displayed of only those candidates who will qualify the examination. The results will be announced only for those candidates who manage to qualify the examination. You can check your results on the below-mentioned link by following the below-mentioned steps:
Candidates can check their qualifying status for Aptitude test as well as final KVPY result as mentioned below –
- Visit KVPY official website: http://kvpy.iisc.ernet.in/main/results.htm
- You need to select your stream-SA/SX/SB for which you appeared.
- Then provide your Registration Number and Password for KVPY.
- Then your section-wise scores, overall score with the cut-off marks would be displayed on the screen.
- You can download your result and it is advised to get a copy of the result for future reference.
The cutoff marks (aptitude test) for KVPY 2019-20 are as follows
Based on the previous year’s cutoff, you can get a fair idea about this year’s expected cutoff. Though there can be a variation in the cutoff for this year by 2-5%, this will give an insight on the minimum number of marks to score in the examination. This year’s cutoffs may increase or decrease depending on multiple factors, thus you are advised to use your own discretion for regarding the cutoffs until KVPY releases its official cutoffs for the year 2019.

Re-evaluation of the results
If you are not satisfied with their result of aptitude test, you can challenge the results. You can apply for the re-evaluation of OMR answer sheet by making the payment of Rs. 1000/- via demand draft drawn in the favour of Registrar, IISc, Bangalore-12 payable at Bangalore.
Demand draft along with cover letter (indicating your stream, application/seat number) must reach at the following address before the prescribed last date:
